The Russian company “Yandex” develops telemedicine service for communication of doctors and patients via the Internet. It is reported by the newspaper “Izvestia”, citing information received from representatives of the search giant.

The new service will be implemented on the basis of “Yandeks.Zdorove” application, which was presented in versions for Android and iOS less than a month ago. In the current form of the program allows you to make an additional charge to see a doctor in Moscow without a call to the registry.

Subsequently, the functionality “Yandeks.Zdorove” system is planned to be expanded. In particular, it is preparing a tool that will allow doctors to provide counseling to patients via video. That is, we are talking about the development of telemedicine platform.

The head of the service “Yandeks.Zdorove” Gregory Bakunov noted that “Yandex” has not yet decided whether the company will develop its own service video or agree with our partners on the use of third-party technologies.

In any event, the launch of the new service will be available only after the adoption of the law on telemedicine. It is expected that appropriate amendments will be approved within the next six months.
