Yamaha introduced the new YZF-R6 in the US Motorcycle Hall last week . The model comes equipped with modern ABS brakes, steering control with ride by wire system (without cables) with three settings, traction control and system “quick shifter” for quick shifts gears (more suitable for walking on closed tracks).
The new front suspension preserves the tuning fork, but instead of sticks with 41 mm diameter, now have 43 mm pieces. At the rear, there is a monochoque adjustable system.
In addition to the traction control, the model comes standard with new fairings that improve by 8% the bike aerodynamics. According to the carmaker, to the tank redesigned also helps the bike to ride better .
Yamaha has not released performance details, technical specifications or consumption of the new R6. Although shown to the public in the American Hall, the bike will be officially presented at the Salon in Milan, Italy, in November .
