Xiaomi announced in September, the new I 5s and I 5s Plus that the producer considers the direct competitors of the two iPhone 7 . Xiaomi said that its smartphones are the first with a processor Snapdragon 821, but in fact the title should be assigned to Zenfone 3 Deluxe ASUS. The Chinese company may, however, count on another record, or support for the technology Qualcomm Clear Sight .
The I 5s Plus is a phablet with aluminum unibody chassis, 2.5D 5.7-inch screen with full HD resolution (1920 × 1080 pixels), Snapdragon processor 821 at 2.35 GHz, 4 or 6 GB of RAM LPDDR4, 64/128 GB flash memory UFS 2.0, 4-megapixel front camera, 3,800 mAh battery, 802.11ac WiFi connectivity, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, NFC, LTE and USB Type-C. The special feature of the smartphone is the camera back. Xiaomi has chosen a dual configuration consisting of two Sony 13 megapixel sensors and two ISP (Image Signal Processor).
The camera uses technology Clear Sight developed by Qualcomm. The two sensors have the same size, but one capture images in color, while the other captures images in black and white. Since the color filter is removed, the black and white sensor absorbs more light (up to three times) of the color sensor. In this way, images have higher contrast, less noise and capture more details . Thanks to the algorithm Clear Sight and the two ISP Qualcomm Spectra, the two shots are instantly combined to achieve higher quality photos, especially in low light conditions.
The dual camera is a feature increasingly common in high-end smartphones. In addition to the Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus can be cited G5 LG Huawei P9 and Apple iPhone 7 Plus . The dual rear camera starts to find a place even on cheaper models, like the recent Honor 6X .
