In March 1948, Nikon has started mass production of cameras. The oldest among the surviving copy of the first model, made in April. He was recently sold at auction in Austria for 384 000 euros.

For his age the camera is in excellent condition. Even the bolt in it – the original, made nearly seventy years ago. Engraved on the bottom panel of the case indicates that the camera is made in occupied Japan. Included is the original leather case and strap, and lens Nikkor-H 2 / 5cm no.70811 (taking into account the assignment of serial numbers of the system, it is the 11th instance of the series).
