Only yesterday we reported that the payment service Samsung Pay in Russia I began working with Visa cards. And now the South Korean company has announced that the said system began to support six more banks.

Samsung Pay was launched in Russia September 29, 2016-th. The system, in addition to the NFC technology, Samsung maintains its own technology – MST (Magnetic Secure Transmission). This service is compatible not only with payment on NFC devices, but with payment terminals that accept bank cards with contact chip or magnetic stripe.

The Samsung Pay implemented a three-level protection, providing security of payment transactions: the fingerprint authentication (required for each transaction), tokenization and Samsung KNOX (protects your smartphone from malicious attacks and attempts to continuously monitor potential vulnerabilities)

To date, partners Samsung Pay in Russia is of “Alfa-Bank”, “VTB 24”, PJSC “MTS”, PJSC «MTS Bank”, JSC “Raiffeisen Bank” JSC “Russian Standard Bank”, “Yandex” and PJSC “Savings Bank”.

Now, these financial institutions have joined PJSC “BIN”, PJSC Bank “FC Opening”, PJSC Bank “Saint-Petersburg”, “Roketbank”, “point” and JSC “Tinkoff Bank”. Thus, two months since the launch of the service in the Russian Federation the number of partner banks has almost doubled.

Now use Samsung Pay system are the owners of smartphones Galaxy S7 and S7 edge, Galaxy S6 edge +, Galaxy Note5, Galaxy A5 (2016) and A7 (2016), as well as the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge (NFC only).
