Although the iPhone 7 is half of the average annual salary in India, the new smartphone from Apple dominates the Indian market for high-end smartphones.
In this special list, which takes account only of smartphones whose cost is more than Rs 30,000 (about $ 437), Samsung holds 23% of the market, while the iPhone comes to 66%. This means that even in India, among the high-end devices, the iPhone dominates the sales charts. In third place we find the Google Pixel, with 10% of the market.
Although the entire smartphone market in India iPhone is still record low numbers, this data can comfort partially Tim Cook that just focusing on India to increase the dimensions of the device market.
