The demo version of the role-playing game Project Octopath Traveler for Switch

The new role-playing game from the publisher Square Enix for the hybrid console Switch is described as a journey of eight different characters and is now known under the code name Project Octopath Traveler. Its distinctive feature is the "2D-HD" style, in which pixel 2D objects are mixed with more realistic 3D graphics. At the last presentation of Nintendo Direct, the players were presented with a trailer with the recording of the game process.

The Bravely Default project was first introduced in January, at one of the earliest Nintendo events dedicated to the Switch console. Each character is characterized by individual abilities, allowing them to work their own way and achieve their own goals in the plot adventure. The story takes place in a fictional world called Orsterra.

As in the traditional RPG, players will be offered a turn-based battle system with opponents. There will be an opportunity to develop the abilities of the characters, each of which performs its role in group battles. Attention can be given to treatment or attack, depending on what is needed at one time or another.

Project Octopath Traveler will be presented in 2018 (the exact date is not yet named), but now a digital version of the Nintendo eShop is available
