The Amazon Echo and Google Home just received a new competitor in the speaker market with voice command. On Monday (17), the SoundHound announced its hardware that takes advantage of Hound virtual assistant, the Hurricane.
Created in partnership with Boombotix, the device will not only play music, but also respond to user questions on weather, flights, news, sports scores and more.
As with the versions of the competitors, just use a simple sentence to activate the system: Okay, Hound. From there just ask him to find all hotels or the best pizzerias in a particular city, for example.
On the issue of playing music, the portable speaker connects via Wi-Fi but if you want to go beyond your home network can also use Bluetooth to keep connection with SoundHound through a smartphone or other music service of your choice.
The Hurricane is currently available for pre-sale on Kickstarter for $ 199 and is scheduled for December.
