The Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IKI) and the European Space Agency (ESA ) published the first results of scientific observations on board the orbiter TGO in the mission “exomars-2016.”

From 20 to 28 November TGO devices was performed first checking measurements on highly elliptical orbit around Mars. Moving on it, the unit is close to the surface of the planet at 230-300 km and removed almost 98 000 km. The period of the orbit – 4.2 days
noted that to date Frendo device has already held several sessions neutron albedo of Mars observations pericenters.. Measurements on highly elliptical orbit is very important, because they allow to see the variability of particle flows at a distance, and when approaching a planet.
ACS complex, in turn, monitors the Martian surface with the help of three infrared spectrometers. It is also reported that the images obtained from CaSSIS instrument (Colour and Stereo Surface Imaging System). The presented images were taken on 22 November.
