Presidents Ford and Renault-Nissan, Mark Fields and Carlos Ghosn, respectively, will be present at CES 2017 electronics event that will take place between 5:08 and January, in the famous city of Las Vegas in US state of Nevada. What is striking is that they will not speak of new engines or large cars but autonomous technology, cars with zero-emission, vehicle sharing and the future of mobility.

Carlos Ghosn will be responsible for the keynote address at the event’s opening day. The executive will discuss the future of mobility without traffic deaths and no greenhouse gas emissions. Ghosn will comment on the latest technologies developed by the Renault-Nissan group and how they can impact the world in a few years.

The president of Ford, Mark Fields, will be present at an exclusive event within CES 2017 called Leaders in Technology. Fields detail the plans the automaker to expand its business model, transforming Ford into a car company and mobility. The CEO will speak about the company’s intention to have a large volume of cars 100% autonomous in a vehicle sharing service until 2021.

Besides participating in the event as speakers, both companies will be present with display stands. In the last edition of the event, Mary Barra, president of General Motors, was the main speaker and took the opportunity to present the Chevrolet Bolt, electric car automaker. It is the expectation for a big announcement by Carlos Ghosn and Mark Fields.

The CES (Consumer Electronics Show) has hosted several major technological innovations. Items such as video cassette, laser disc, the first Nintendo console, the Xbox from Microsoft, the Blue-Ray, Ultra HDTV, among other great new features, already made their debut at the event in Las Vegas.
