Almost six months have passed since Mini Mario Friends: amiibo Challenge was released in the eShop American and European Wii U and 3DS, but only now Japanese users of these systems are having access to the free download the game directly. The only way to get this game in Japan until now was using download codes that come included in the ten compatible amiibo figures – Mario, Luigi, Peach, Bowser, Bowser Jr., Toad, Yoshi, Rosalina, Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong – or spending 150 Platinum Coins in the rewards program My Nintendo .

Mini Mario & Friends: amiibo Challenge brings more than sixty challenging stages where the main objective is to bring the Mini Toys characters released through the corresponding amiibo figures to the output port using the touch screen Wii U GamePad or 3DS family laptop to position and change elements in the scenarios. In the Japanese eShop the Wii U, the digital size of Mini Mario & Friends: amiibo Challenge is 317MB while the portable version weighs 288.75MB .
