After Qualcomm which in recent days had announced its support to Android Oreo (Go Edition) also MediaTek has confirmed that it has created a new partnership with Google in order to better support the new platform for entry-level devices.
In this way even the cheapest devices, with 1 GB of RAM, sometimes even less, will enjoy the new software experience that Google has unveiled a few days ago . MediaTek has optimized, with the help of Google some of its chipsets for the low-end market, such as MT6739, MT6737 and MT6580, all equipped with a quad core processor and offered as an alternative to Qualcomm's Snapdragon 200 series.
The first devices to exploit the optimization for Android Oreo (Go Edition) will arrive in the first few months of 2018 although we will hardly see them officially in Italy. Most of them are in fact destined for emerging markets, such as India, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America and Southeast Asia. It is not excluded that someone can come to us, mainly through the main Chinese online importers.
