Apple should keep its annual launch event for new iPhones next September 12, at least as the Wall Street Journal has reported in recent years. Official invitations have not yet been sent, so there is still no official news, but it seems now only a formal issue since the Journal is not the first source to specify this date. During the event, three iPhone models are expected to be officially earmarked.
One of the models, the top of the range, will have a newly conceived OLED display that should occupy the front surface almost in its entirety. We've been talking about this feature for months, with the new "iPhone 8" that could be the smartphone with the widest screen-frame ratio among those on the market. The device should also have a rather high price list of $ 999 in the United States.
Next to Apple, Apple will also announce more mobile phones, more similar to current models and less innovative. IPhone 7S and iPhone 7S Plus should have a 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch IPS LCD again and get better especially under the body, getting a glass back to support wireless charging. In addition, Apple may also announce Apple Watch and officially launch new iOS 11 features that will be directly linked to new models.
In perhaps even a new Apple TV with 4K Ultra HD display, but it is natural that all the attention will be directed to the new smartphone with OLED display. New devices will come after the last Cupertino announcements in June: among them the new HomePod and iMac Pro, which should come to market by the end of the year. It is likely that these products will also be discussed during the mid-September event.
