Thanks to an official document and any information disclosed during Computex 2016, we find the names of the first “Apollo Lake” chip for notebooks, tablets and hybrid 2-in-1: Intel Celeron N3350, N3450 and Celeron Pentium N4200.
The processors Intel Apollo Lake will be the first based on the new architecture “Goldmont” and will be launched later this year, replacing the low-power Intel Pentium and Celeron chips (Braswell) using instead Intel core “
From some preliminary benchmarks, we already know that Intel will definitely Goldmont more powerful (+ 30%) of Airmont, but we have not yet precise details on the new chip if some of their names and some information on operating frequencies and TDP. We thought during Computex Taipei 2016 and related to some technical specifications of these processors. In particular, for now we know that will be released:
N3350 Intel Celeron up to 2.4 GHz, with a TDP of 6W
N3450 Intel Celeron up to 2.4 GHz, with a TDP of 6W
Intel Pentium N4200 up to 2.4 GHz, with a TDP of 6W
Intel Celeron J3355 N / A
Intel Celeron J3455 N / A
Intel Pentium J4205 N / A
Please note that a Santa Clara traditionally directs processors N-Series notebook and tablet , but these chips will also be included in Hybrid 2-in-1 as admitted by the same company, while those of the J-Series will go to the desktop PC and Mini PC.
In addition to increased performance in speed and graphics, Apollo Lake chips should offer greater efficiency for longer autonomy, support for connectors USB Type-C , Memory LPDDR4, LPDDR3 and DDR3L .
