To do this you can use different tools but I’ll take into consideration only two: the Disk Cleanup utility included “standard” in all versions of the Microsoft operating system and the free CCleaner application. They are both simple to use.

To start the Disk Cleanup tool in Windows, search for it in the Start menu (or in the Start Screen) of your PC and click on its icon. then select the type of files to delete and click first on the button OK and then Deleting files to start the data erasure process.

To download OnyX, connected to the Internet site and the application and click on the entry for the operating system installed on your Mac (eg. OnyX 3.2.1 for MacOS 10:12 Sierra if you use MacOS Sierra). Open, then the software installer package, and drag the icon of OnyX in the folder Applications MacOS.
Once the appearance of Onyx main window, click on the button Delete and affix a check mark on the data types to be removed (eg. Start Preferences’ international ‘ etc.). Then click on the button Run and wait while the data removal process, to an end.
