The activities to convert CDs to MP3 is technically known as “ripping” (rip) and is to extrapolate tracks from standard audio CD (those that can be heard in all stereos) and save them on your computer in the form of MP3 or other audio file formats such as MP3 or uncompressed, such as WAV.
On Windows computers, this work can easily be carried to completion by Windows Media Player the media player included by default in almost all editions of the Microsoft operating system. Its operation is very intuitive. All you need to do is insert the audio CD into your computer from “rip”, open Windows Media Player (you can find it in the menu Start ) and select the icon diskette that automatically appears in the left sidebar.
At this point, click on the button Rip settings located at the top left and select the first option MP3 from menu Format and then the voice 320 kbps from the audio quality (so as to get the file size not quite contenutissime but from very high quality). Therefore presses the button Rip (which is always at the top) and wait for Windows Media Player to process all the tracks of the disk.
If you do not want to “rip” all the songs but only some of them, before clicking on button Rip remove the check mark from the title of the tracks you do not want to save to your computer. MP3 finals will be saved in the folder Music Windows, in a sub-folder with the same name of the album “ripped.”
Note: If you use an edition “N” of Windows that does not have Windows Media Player, you can convert audio CDs into MP3 using Fre: ac a free software and open source that allows you to convert between all popular audio file formats. I’ve explained well how to use it in my tutorial on free MP3 converters .
