Last week Apple announced that it would replace free of charge the battery of the iPhone 6s suffering from sudden shutdown. Here’s how to check if your iPhone is suitable.

There exists a quick and easy way to check whether a device is suitable for the replacement of using the same procedure of Apple staff in its stores.

Apple has determined that the problem involves a small percentage of iPhone 6s that, indeed, you spegnono so sudden. This is not a security feature – Apple continues – and the deficiency was recorded on only one limited range of serial iPhone 6s made between September and October 2015.

To test for eligibility will not have to do anything but locate the serial number of your iPhone on the back of the device in Settings> General> About and check the following characters located in the fourth and fifth position on the serial code of your device:

QC
QD
QF
HQ
QH
QJ

The Apple Store employees will replace the battery with a spare parts, if available, will require a replacement battery, or decide to replace the entire iPhone. The Cupertino company has stressed that the program will cover the batteries 6s iPhone for 3 years from the date of sale of the device.
