According to the source, the Chinese companies Huawei and BBK Communication Equipment, which owns Vivo Oppo and brands as well as young company Royole, specializing on flexible display technology, have formed an alliance. Participating in the alliance smartphone makers intend next year to invest in the development and production of flexible displays, OLED, hoping to provide itself with these components in the required amounts.
Next year, BBK plans to launch another brand, so that the need for panels will increase. It is alleged that the release of the displays will MGV – specially created subsidiary of BBK. With sufficient demand for the panels, their production can receive financial support from the state, interested in the development of cutting-edge industries.
According to preliminary estimates, MGV will initially produce 60,000 OLED panels per month. Royole Company attributed the intention to acquire a factory 5.5G, capable of producing 45,000 OLED panels per month. Royole production will be located in Shenzhen. Where will be MGV factory – it is still unknown.
