Apple will use drones to improve the drive levels of Maps on iOS and MacOS, both indoors and outdoors. It is a new way to give increasingly precise maps users.

Apple has already received authorization to use the drones for “ collect data, photos and videos” to be used to improve Apple Maps . The drones will be used to acquire and update data in the fastest way than they are able to do the minivans currently used by the company. To manage the drones and all the various information collected, Apple is already taking experts in robotics and data collection.

The drones would also be used to create a drive levels of large interior spaces such as museums and airports. With this mapping, the users that will use Maps will receive precise information even within these structures.
