Two new patents published yesterday show Apple’s interest in an Apple Watch with a circular dial.

Currently, the dial of the Apple Watch is rectangular with rounded edges, but Apple seems interested in changing the shape of the display and to offer circular design . In the patent it is explained as would be integrated arrays of pixels in rows and columns, to provide high image quality: Apple shows the lines that fold in on themselves, passing them through two or more columns of pixels which in some cases They should be to overlap. This arrangement saves space without compromising on quality.

In this way, Apple could offer a Apple Watch from the design closer to that of classic watches.
