Accessories Overview: ASUS Audio Pod, Universal Dock, Pen and ROG XG Station 2

As you may already know, at Computex 2016 in June, ASUS has revamped its entire “fleet” launching new smartphones, tablets, notebooks and even a robot, but for each of these devices l ‘Taiwanese company has also studied a wide range of accessories that can enhance and upgrade their capabilities. We speak not only of common cover, which still remain useful to be able to work and write on the road, but also a port replicator, docking station for external graphics, speakers and pens.

We have appreciated all these accessories up close and during the fair with the help of ASUS, we developed a hands-on video that offers you the opportunity to learn more about these products pending the available on the market with devices with which they are compatible. In particular, we have taken the time to Pen ASUS, ASUS Universal Dock, ASUS Audio Pod, ASUS ROG XG Station 2, and the two keyboards Transformer Keyboard Cover and Sleeve Cover, all designed to Transformer 3 , Transformer 3 Pro and ZenBook 3.

The ASUS Pen is a capacitive stylus to 1024 levels of pressure, enabling you to draw freehand or write notes on the screen of your tablet. It is not very different from the TAICHI Stylus, indeed it would seem almost an evolution, so that we find a basic, simple design, the cover on the top to insert the battery and two configurable buttons on the side to enable the rubber and right click functions.

ASUS Universal Dock

ASUS Universal Dock is instead a hub port replicator. In practice, simply plug this little device to the device to expand its connectivity. The small dock adds Type-C USB 3.1 ports, USB 3.0, HDMI, VGA, RJ45 LAN and an SD card reader 3-in-1, and could be very useful for the Zenbook ultrabook as 3 which is provided only a USB-C port.

ASUS Audio Pod

ASUS Audio Pod is rather an accessory for multimedia entertainment: has four powerful speakers that can stream music to “360 ° with a virtual surroud effect 5.1”. Although in the video, audio Pod is not shown in action, we can assure you that the power of sound is exceptional.

The ROG XG Station 2 is a docking station for external graphics, which you can connect all’Asus Zenbook 3 or Transformer 3 Pro through a Thunderbolt port 3. We know that ASUS is not the first company to launch a solution of this kind, but in its own way is very competitive: demo unit exposed exhibited at the fair, it was a brand new integrated Nvidia ROG Strix GTX 1080 (but we are sure that you can also install an AMD GPU), a power supply 680 watts, four USB 3.0 ports and a Gigabit Ethernet port.
